Collagen P.I.N. (Percutaneous Induction Needling, also referred to as PCIT, Percutaneous Collagen Induction Therapy… a.k.a. micro-needling, or automated micro-needling).

This process causes much less damage to the epidermis than dermal rolling or lasers and other ablative treatments, which helps to protect the new skin cell growth providing for quicker healing, higher success rates and longer lasting results.

The process doesn't use chemicals.

Collagen P.I.N. is the most advanced medical-grade automated micro-needling device on the market. 

 

HOW IT WORKS

Dr Torre will install a sterile, disposable, needle cartridge, holding 36 micro needles that will glide across the skin.

During this procedure, the tiny needles are used to create controlled micro-injuries to the skin in order to produce collagen and elastin. The adjustable needle depth allow to properly address the specific needs of each area. The skin’s repair process results in a thicker dermis with the appearance of softer wrinkles and a healthier, younger looking skin. Automated micro-needling also creates superficial micro-channels, which allow topical serums and creams to be absorbed more effectively into the skin during the treatment to further enhance the results of the procedure.

OPTIONAL TOPICAL SERUM

The micro-channels created for a few minutes during the treatment are estimated to enhance the absorption of topically applied products 200 times.

Therefore a selected serum can be added on the face during the treatment to further enhance the results of the procedure:

Growth Factor Rejuvenation Complex (GF-R) from Genesis Biosystems: rich blend of Epidermal Growth Factor and Fibroblast Growth Factor (promote cellular growth, proliferation, and differentiation, key to the skin’s repair, renewal and regeneration), Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-7 (improves the appearance of fine lines and increase elasticity of the skin), Hyaluronic Acid (adds volume and helps protect the skin from moisture loss), Vitamins C, B2, D2, B3, B6, H, B5 (help guard against free radical damage while increasing resistance to photo-aging and supporting cell metabolism), Copper Peptides (promotes healing while reducing inflammation and helps stimulate collagen synthesis which improves the appearance of fine lines).

INDICATIONS

Can safely treat all skin types to address a variety of concerns.

Not only face but most areas of the body can be treated, in particular neck, décoletage, hands, legs, abdomen.

Typical indications are acne and facial scarring, fine lines and wrinkles, enlarged pores, sun damaged skin, sagging skin, stretch marks, age spots​​​​ and dark circle under the eyes.

There is also growing evidence that micro needling may be an effective way to combat hair loss.

DURATION OF TREATMENT

A numbing cream is first applied on the skin for about half-hour for patient comfort.

The topical anaesthetic cream is then wiped out, the skin cleaned and the micro-needling performed.

The total duration is approx. 60-75 min.

RECOVERY AFTER TREATMENT / DOWN TIME

Very minimal recovery period.

Micro-Needling with Collagen P.I.N. is generally considered a no down time treatment.

You will be able to resume your daily life almost straight away.

You may notice some redness (as a light sunburn) or mild swelling, but this should subside within the first 24 hours of the procedure.

RESULTS *

Most commonly patients report seeing positive changes as soon as 1-2 weeks after the first treatment.

Fibroblasts – the cells that synthesize new collagen – are active for up to as much as one year after just one Collagen P.I.N. treatment.
